Top 5 Online Multiplayer Games to Try Out Now
Nothing makes me happier than gaming, and many say that happiness is best shared. Well, I agree. I’ve gamed solo and with friends, and I’d choose gaming with friends each time.
The hilarious moments, comments, and the thrill of a friendly competition make the gaming experience better than it already is. If you’re also looking to get in on this action, let me help you get started by sharing some games you might want to try out.
Most of them can be played on your phone, personal computer, or console as long as you’ve got internet access.
If you do, great! Otherwise, reaching out to the Spectrum customer service can have you set up with a fast and reliable connection in no time. Not only it’s their internet fast and reliable, but it also doesn’t have any data caps, allowing you to play games to your heart’s content.
Now, let’s check out the games!
Apex Legends
Apex Legends is a battle royale hero shooter video game launched in 2019.
It’s available for free on Steam and has all the elements of a great multiplayer game. You can expect a diverse cast of characters with unique abilities, movement mechanics that perfectly display their exceptional skills, and easy-to-use verbal and non-verbal communication methods.
If that’s not enough, there are also well-designed maps and a large range of weapons that make the game more engaging, competitive, and skill-focused.
Among Us
I still play this game a lot during my lunch break, and it’s also one of the motivations behind me getting my work done quicker. One thing that I love about this game is that you can play it on mobile, console, or PC, but sadly, it’s only free on mobile.
The game has a simple concept, nothing too crazy, but boy, does it have you hooked with its mystery factor.
The game is set in a spaceship, where there’s a dedicated crew and a team of impostors looking to mess up the crew’s plans. You play as either one of them, and if you’re part of the crew, you all have to find and remove the impostor. And if you’re the impostor, you have to stay hidden until you kill the entire crew.
Dota 2
Even if you’re not a hardcore gamer, you’ve probably heard of what Dota 2 is and how big the game is in the esports world. Well, rightfully so!
The multiplayer online battle arena game will have you battling your heart out. You can play as part of one of two teams, the Radiant or the Dire, and you’ll have to fight the other for control of the Ancients, the base of the other team.
But it’s not just mindless fighting, because you’ll also be coordinating and planning strategies with a team of characters that have unique abilities, to hit the other where it hurts the most.
Oh, and did I mention that you can catch all this action for free on Steam?
Forza Horizon 5
Is any gaming list complete without a fast-paced racing game? Well, definitely not my list!
Racing happens to be one of my favorite gaming genres, and Forza Horizon 5 happens to be one of my favorite racing games, for two main reasons.
The first is that it’s set in my hometown, Mexico. The game allows you to explore the beauty of Mexico with a free open-world drive across stunning natural landscapes inspired by the actual places. The second is that you can create your own customized tracks to turn a boring old race into something straight out of the F1.
There’s a bit of a catch, though. The game’s only free if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. If you’ve got a PlayStation, it’s going to cost you.
Rocket League
You know those weird dreams you see where something as wacky as cars playing football might be happening? Well, looks like the minds behind Rocket League saw the exact same dream and thought, “Hey, this would make a great game!”.
Well, they weren’t wrong, because the game is one of the craziest and most entertaining ones I’ve played.
The game is set in a futuristic setting, where you get to choose a rocket-powered vehicle and compete in an explosive and fast-paced soccer match. You can destroy opponent vehicles, perform different stunts, and upgrade as you level up.
It’s free on all platforms, but available on mobile with a different 2D version, titled Rocket League Sideswipe.
Multiplayer Gaming – Creating Exciting, Dynamic, and Unpredictable Social Experiences
Multiplayer gaming creates some of the most memorable moments to talk and laugh about later. But beyond that, they’re also helpful in helping you develop useful life skills such as critical thinking, planning, and strategizing.
The games I’ve shared above can help you do all that. Whether you’re battling it out in Dota 2 or Apex Legends, letting your engine roar in Forza Horizon 5, or blowing cars in Rocket League, each game offers a dynamic and exciting social experience that you’ll remember and benefit from in real life.
