Last night's episode of The Middle finished a solid third in the ratings in the 18-49 demo, fourth overall.
"Halloween V" was watched by 6.99 million people, down from 7.29m a week ago. The show was fourth in viewers, behind the World Series on FOX, Survivor on CBS and The Mysteries of Laura on NBC.
The Middle rose to third place in the 18-49 demographic with a 1.8/6 rating, down three tenths from the previous episode's 2.1/7.

Meanwhile, to help supplement her college fund, Sue attempts to put together a pumpkin patch screening of the animated classic, “It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” and Axl reluctantly goes to the library to write a history paper and ironically gets locked inside after staying past closing hours.
