Last night's episode of The Middle ranked a solid third in the ratings for its time period.
"The Walk" had 7.28 million viewers, down slightly from the previous episode's 7.48m audience. The Middle scored a 1.9/6 rating in the 18-49 demo, flat on the March 12 episode. The show tied with American Idol for first place in the 18-49 demo in the shared half-hour. The Middle ranked third overall in the ratings.

Meanwhile, Sue ends up with multiple dates to the prom because she is too nice to turn down any of the boys who asked her, and Brick enlists Axl's aid in preparing an "outside the box" book report.
