Last night's episode of The Middle finished a strong second in the ratings.
"The Jump" had an audience of 8.93 million people, up by 900,000 from the previous episode on October 30. The Middle also grew in the important adults 18-49 demographic, rising to a 2.4/7 rating from the last episode's 2.2/7. The Middle ranked second, behind CBS's Survivor, in all key ratings measures.

Frankie and Mike are stunned when Sue makes the high school volleyball team -- but, as always, there's a catch, and when Axl discovers that he is failing three of his four college classes, he calls on Brick to help him with his studies.
