Yesterday's episode of The Middle finished a solid third in the ratings and posted modest gains over the last episode.
"The Safe", which featured guest star Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), was watched by 9.04 million people, up by 240,000 people from October 24. In the important adults 18-49 demographic, The Middle narrowly finished in third with a 2.7/8 rating, just a notch below CBS's Survivor's 2.8/8. The Middle ranked third in the ratings by all key metrics.
