Last night's Leap Year-themed episode of The Middle ranked a solid third in the ratings, finishing behind American Idol on Fox and Survivor on CBS.
"Leap Year" was watched by 8.23 million people, up three quarters of a million from last week, and scored a 5.8/9 rating in households. This was the show's best performance in total viewers in five weeks. In the important adults 18-49 demographic, The Middle scored a 2.6/7 rating, up from last week's 2.2/7.
The Middle continued to outperform CBS's Survivor in the younger-skewing demographics, finishing second with Adults 18-34, Men 18-34 and Women 18-34.
