Last night's Christmas-themed episode of The Middle, the last original episode of 2011, finished a solid third in the ratings.
"A Christmas Gift" was watched by 8.80 million people, down by around 208,000 viewers from the last original episode, and scored a 6.0/10 rating in households. In the important adults 18-49 demographic, The Middle scored a 2.8/8 rating, up from the 2.5/8 rating on November 23rd. Compared to this time last year, The Middle was up 17% with adults 18-49.
