Last night's Valentine's Day-themed episode of The Middle held up well against Fox behemoth American Idol. ABC was on the map with a strong second place showing against the ever popular reality show.
"Valentine's Day II" was watched by 8.84 million people and scored a 5.3/8 rating in households. The show set a 2.6/7 in the important adults 18-49 demographic. The Middle finished second place behind Idol by all key metrics.
