Last night's episode of The Middle finished a solid third in the ratings for its time slot, ranking behind Fox's American Idol and the season premiere of Survivor on CBS.
"The Concert" was watched by 8.05 million people, down by 390,000 viewers from last week, and scored a 5.6/9 rating in households, unchanged from last week. In the adults 18-49 demo the show scored a 2.5/7 rating, down slightly from the last episode's 2.6/8 rating. The Middle ranked third by all key ratings. Last night's show matched a season low, clearly being squeezed by the two popular reality shows airing on other networks.
